We Return

This is a really cool booklet that was produced before the Philippines were retaken in 1944. Like the War Department language and country guides, this would guide invasion forces and then the liberation and occupation forces with the knowledge that they needed on the local customs and culture. This is a bit larger than the pocket-sized language and country guides (about twice as tall and a half booklet wider) that were produced by the War Department, but the information is just as good, if not better, and it is written to get the reader fired up about liberating the Philippines.

The only issue with this book is that the cover is loose, and the buyer may wish to stabilize it or leave it as is.
